Environmental Management

Environmental management is an integral component of Alco's everyday activities. We conduct all our operations with respect for the environment, seeking to drive down environmental impact by reducing waste and emissions and using energy, water and other raw materials efficiently through the use of state-of- the art manufacturing methods and equipment. We seek to develop products with environmental benefits, and improve the environmental footprint of our products throughout their life cycle.

Alco meets or exceeds all regulatory permit limitations regarding water and air emissions and waste. We benchmark out environmental performance against peer chemical companies utilizing Responsible Care techniques and assessments. Alco strives to be a good corporate citizen as we participate in community initiatives such as the Tennessee River Rescue and South Chickamauga Creek Greenway Alliance. These projects are examples of good stewardship for the environment in which we work and live.
