National Starch and Chemical Company acquired Alco Chemical in 1989, and today Alco is part of National’s Specialty Polymers Group. In 1997, National was acquired by ICI, an Akzo Nobel company and a world leader in specialty products and paints. This organization provides Alco with tremendous resources and in-depth expertise.
