Multiple products, including zero VOC grades, are available to optimize specific performance characteristics. ALCOGUM thickeners provide stable viscosity over a broad pH range and are resistant to biological degradation.

*The Pseudoplastic Index (PI) is an indication of the shear-thinning behaviour imparted by a specific rheology modifier. A PI of < 3 indicates a more Newtonian behavious versus higher values. Values between 3 and 18 indicate a medium shear-thinning behaviour, and values > 18 indicate a high shear-thinning behaviour may be expected. The PI is dependent on the composition of the formulation under evaluation and is calculated by taking the ratio of the 0.5 rpm to 20 rpm Brookfield viscosity.
